What are rope pulleys used for?
|
|
With pulleys, it is possible to move a multiple of the load using a wire rope hoist with the same rated force. This is achieved without using a thicker rope because the rope only has the single force applied to it. The rope pulleys and their anchorages, on the other hand, must be designed to cope with the total load.
